Loved and Missed

This page is dedicated to all the wonderful bunnies who have given us joy and companionship in untold measure while on this earth, and cherished memories which will be with us forever. We will miss you always and treasure your presence in our lives, however brief or long.

If you would like to add a memorial to your bunny, e-mail a message and a photo (photo not required) to: Website Bunny Memorials.

If you would like to send a donation in memory of your companion, mention it in the text you send us and then use one of the donate buttons at the bottom of our pages. Every penny of your donation will go to help the rabbits.

We also have a Memorial Plaque in our Bunny Burrow Gift Shop. For more information about having a brass plate to memorialize that special one, we invite you to learn about the Memorial Plaque.

Pippen Pippen

Pippen came to us from the Humane Society in 2004 where he was brought in as a stray. We had 6 great years with him and will miss him dearly. He had a list of health issues and was a fighter through many of them but grew frail in the past 6 months after the passing of his brother, Dexter. We had a very special relationship with Pippen and he was one of the best bunny friends you could ask for. He was there for us through hard times and always could make us smile with his bouncy antics. He had many adventures in his life and became quite the seasoned traveler. Pippen was our little shadow bunny who always followed us around and wanted to be near us. We love you Pippy-monster and will miss you always! We are glad you are back with Dexter. ~ Mom, Dad and Dudley

Brandon

The Prince of Everything has gone over the Rainbow Bridge. We're sure he's happy there, as he always was here. For some odd reason, no matter who came to our house and met our bunnies, YOU were always the one they singled out as "the best" or "the cutest" or "my favorite"! Such a charismatic fellow, you.

Yes, you lived a really long time but, my sweet boy, it wasn't nearly long enough - it never could have been. You were the light of my heart and I miss you terribly. This is the "Waiting for Mama" picture of you that has always been my favorite. I hope wherever you are, you're having a great time and patiently waiting for me there. In the meantime, Bridgette and I are taking care of each other. Thank you so much for giving me your trust!

Chewbacca Chewbacca

Chewbaca with the Ears of Wonder! What a lovely, gentle boy you were. Coming here with your beloved Winnie, at first you weren't sure you'd get to stay. It saddened us to see you look so tentative the first few months, but little by little you came to believe that you really, truly, truly did have a Forever Home. It's so horrid that "forever" was so short! We only got to love you for 4 short years before your time in your furry body was up. Don't think you'll ever be forgotten, though. You still live in our hearts with our love.

Miss Coffee

Miss Coffee has an unknown past. All that we know of her is what we found out after her big husbun Miffy found her at a Dumb Friends League shelter. Miffy had been looking for a new friend ever since his honey-bunn Sugarfoot passed unexpectedly during the night sometime in 2007.

He was in with his humans looking for someone new when he reacted to sweet little Coffee hidden away up as high as she could be. The shelter people brought her down and the two ruby-eyed darlings bonded immediately.

From the start we knew there was something wrong with Coffee, and later we found out that due to an incident when she was younger, she was going to be splay-legged. She and Miffy loved each other to the end, cleaning each others ears, cuddling for warmth, and Coffee would protect her giant chicken husbunn from the hands that would pet them.

Though she couldn't hop very well, Miss Coffee got around plenty. With such an adorable face, who could resist holding her?

Coffee is believed to have been born sometime in 2004, and was put to sleep to ease her pain at 2:50 on Wednesday, June 23rd 2010. She was greatly loved, and will be sorely missed.

Dobie Dobie

Dobie was the first rabbit (along with his gal, Munchkin). I adopted from CO HRS back in 1999 - he passed away in the spring of 2010 at age 13. He was the easiest, most mellow and personable bunn anyone could hope for and brought so much joy over the years. Rest in peace, buddy.

Cooper

Xochi lost her beloved Cooper (the handsome chocolate fellow shown here) earlier this year. They were together for a long time.

Cooper was such a sweet bunn – he loved to play with his toys and with his human mom. He also loved to sleep on the bed and lay in the morning sun with his favorite girl. We all miss him so much!

Jennifer Jennifer

Jennifer was a beautiful 5 year old bunny who had the biggest brown eyes and a brown butterfly on her nose. We adopted her and Aristotle in 2008 and they changed our lives. They would make us laugh and she would often thump just because.

The things she loved the most were Aristotle, carrots, and papaya tablets. She would sit-up and come when she was called; she was a good girl. We miss her and may she rest in peace.

Dexter

Our beloved Dexter passed away suddenly and unexpectedly February 17, 2010 at 3:15am. He was only four years old and never had any health problems until the end. We thought for sure he would be around for many more years.

We miss him dearly and will never forget him. He was truly a unique bunny with his little grunts, tail shakes and scuttles. He brought so much joy, entertainment and love to our family. We have so many memories of him that we will never forget.

Dexter could always make us smile no matter how rough a day we were having. He was our little baby that brought out the young side in his older brothers and loved playing chase games with them. We will love him always and hope he is resting in peace.

Sometimes a star shines so brightly that it burns out before it's time.

Quincy Quincy

Our big, beautiful black French Lop, Quincy, has passed away. He was the love of Koko's life. Quincy spent the last several months living with Koko (our other male French lop) and a small lop female, Zoe. Quincy always had issues with arthritis in his knees, but did very well for many years. The last few months were just too much for him. He lost the use of both back legs and used a cart for awhile, then he lost one front leg, and developed a mass around his heart. He stopped eating and he let us know that picking him up was just too painful. Sadly, we honored his wishes and let him go.

I'd never known that bunnies could growl and bark (sort of). Quincy could do it all... and did often. He was a personality unlike any we have known and we cherish the time we had with him. He was only 4 and just much too young to go. We shall miss him terribly, as do Koko and Zoe!

Dimples

This is Dimples. I got her in 2007. I only had her for almost a year. When I saw her in the e-mail I was sent, she was smiling - so that is how she got her name! She died on my birthday just last year and all of our family misses her!!

"I am a brown little bunny who likes to run,
To dance and play and have some fun.
I am sweet and full of energy and love it when you cuddle me.
You make me smile and laugh all the while.
I am a brown little bunny who likes to run!"

Frida Frida

 testf

Frida was the truly beloved and precious bunny of my best friend, Lianuska. The manner in which Lia cared, loved and cherished Frida was one of the most heartwarming displays of compassion I have ever seen.

She was always proud to tell me of Frida's latest comedic antics! (One of them pictured here!) Frida was indeed a very eclectic and eccentric bunny, but most of all beautiful and loving and providing Lia with unconditional affection and love.

I say this in the past, but in reality Frida continues to be a ray of joy in our lives, now and forever. Frida passed away from this life on April 19th, 2007, but will exude life, love, and compassion forever and beyond.

Today, Lia has two wonderful and beautiful rabbits (Leo and Peppino) - may God keep them safe and healthy. Needless to say, Lia loves them with the same compassion and soul as she does Frida!

Frida, you will always be in Lia's heart and soul and mine as well. Love you, Ardelio
