Melanie and Joey

Joey is a handsome and quite friendly bunny. His first human caretaker became too ill to care for him, so he came to us to find another home. Lucky him, because he found the beautiful Melanie, as you can see in her solo photo.

Melanie is also very friendly. She enjoys being petted and loves her Joey, too. Both born in 2003, these two 5 lb sweeties were placed with a family two years ago, but because of serious illnesses, they became too busy for them. Now Melanie and Joey are just waiting to find the loving heart who will take them to the special home they can share for good.

Glynis Glynis and Wilbur

Glynis is a beautiful pumpkin-and-charcoal grey calico beauty. She certainly enjoys her contact with people. She is very friendly, likes to be petted and she is delightfully curious. She perks right up and comes to her door to get her nose scratched at every chance. Wilbur is also very nice rabbit. He was a stray but he's blossomed into a sweet, mellow fellow. He is just a bit shy, but he’s discovered he just loves being petted.

Both Glynis and Wilbur were born in 2001. Glynis is almost 7 lbs and Wilbur is convinced he's a big boy at 5-1/2 lbs. They are both looking forward to becoming house rabbits just as soon as their new human comes in and finds them – they hope it’s soon! Bilbo and Oliver and Sugar Bear and Dusty

Bilbo (far right), Oliver (center), Sugar Bear (far left), and Dusty (back) are four brothers who have together since birth 11/17/01. They are all between 7 and 8 pounds in weight. Although they could be split into two pairs, they are very fond of each other, and desperately hope that someone will give them a home together. Lively, and unafraid, this quartet will give someone much pleasure.

Suki Suki and Ranger

If you like them big and beautiful, these two are for you! Suki is a pure chinchilla rabbit; Ranger is a darker version of her. These exceptional rabbits were both born in 2000.

Sharon and Ozzie

Born to Dinah (who was half their size--they're between 7 and 8 lbs) on March 17, 2003, these two (Ozzie solid black, Sharon solid white) are devoted to each other. Fun-loving and friendly. Favorite activity is cuddling together under a box (after they have torn up as much of it as they can). Will make someone very happy.

Sonny Sonny and Cher

Born to Dinah (who was half their size--they're between 7 and 8 lbs) on March 17, 2003, these two black beauties are devoted to each other. Solid black, fun-loving, and friendly. These two will make a wonderful addition to a family.

Chaco and Ben

Badly overweight at 8-1/4 lbs and over 9-1/2 lbs, these mixed breed rabbits will be a couple of pounds smaller when they’ve been fed properly and get some exercise. Chaco is a pure black female, Ben and agouti male. Both are friendly with people. Chaco’s DOB: 2001; Ben’s DOB: 2000.

Zoe Zoe and Zeus

Apparently living with people who didn’t know much about rabbits, this pair came to us from our northern satellite in Fort Collins. Initially, they were unfriendly, but in the few short months they were with our satellite and then with us, they have changed. Big (each over 7 lbs), comical (each has one ear up, one down), and usually friendly, these two also have unpredictable moments. DOB: probably late 2002.

BC and Evie

Evie (DOB: around February, 2001) was like a little girl with a new baby brother when we introduced "BC," who was only a few weeks old, to her. She joyfully adopted the role of "little mother" to him. BC (which originally stood for "Baby Cadbury," now stands for "Bunny Cadbury" and may someday stand for "Big Cadbury") was our first "Easter bunny," coming to us three days after Easter, after being found in someone's backyard. Both of these rabbits are beautifully white, Evie being a lop, and BC, an upright-eared rabbit.

Homer Homer and Joni

These adorable youngsters (DOB: around February of 2001) were, fortunately, very young when rescued from the horrendous situation in Pueblo described elsewhere on this site. As a result, they have neither the physical nor emotional scars that some of the adults from there carry. Homer (white) and Joni (tan) are a delightful pair, eager to give a family the joys of living with lops.

Chianti and Camille

Born September 21, 1999, these twin sisters were taken to DDFL because the people had allowed too many to be bred. Beautiful with their rich agouti coloring, the two are mini-lop mixes, amusingly anxious to have human contact.

Comet Comet and Blitzen

A pretty little Dutch rabbit brought eight babies into the world on October 28, 1999, two of whom were Comet, a gray male, and Blitzen, a white and black female. The brother and sister liked each other so much, they decided to spend their lives together. These high-energy bunns are eager to relate to people, and hope to be adopted while they are still young and full of energy.
